Notes

The ‘Destrieux’ cortical atlas is based on a parcellation scheme that first divided the cortex into gyral and sulcal regions, the limit between both being given by the curvature value of the surface. A gyrus only includes the cortex visible on the pial view, the hidden cortex (banks of sulci) are marked sulcus. The result is a complete labeling of cortical sulci and gyri.

Content

• atlas_type: str. Type of atlas. See Probabilistic atlas and Deterministic atlas.

• labels: list of str. List of the names of the regions.

• lut: pandas.DataFrame. Act as a look up table (lut) with at least columns ‘index’ and ‘name’. Formatted according to ‘dseg.tsv’ format from BIDS.

• maps: str. Full path to 3D nifti file defining the cortical ROIs, lateralized or not. The image has shape (76, 93, 76), and contains integer values which can be interpreted as the indices in the list of labels.

• template: str. The standardized space of analysis in which the data is provided.
